At Poppetts Pre-School, we take children from the age of 2. The funding will be accepted the term after their 2nd birthday. If your child starts with us the academic year of their 2nd birthday, they will be in the ladybird group. All age children have mixed play each session, however there is a short group time each morning in which the ladybirds will have time with the other ladybirds.

The Bumblebees are the children turning 3 that academic year. We believe the Bumblebees learn from our Butterflies so mixed age play is very beneficial. We also have set time for age appropriate activities in groups for just our Bumblebees.

Our Butterflies are our children turning 4 that academic year. Our Butterflies are role-models to our younger children. We have mixed age sessions every day apart from Fridays. This is so the Butterflies have a more structured day, allowing them to learn and prepare them for their transition to Primary School.
